Otome Game Jack Jeanne Localization Confirmed!

It’s finally happening folks! Today, during Jack Jeanne’s first anniversary stream in Japan, Broccoli and Jack Jeanne’s cast announced that the game will be localized for the Nintendo Switch both in English and Traditional Chinese.

ABOUT JACK JEANNE

Jack Jeanne is an otome game (with rhythm game elements), developed and published by Broccoli (developers and publishers for the games Uta no Prince Sama, Meiji Tokyo Renka, and Kamigami no Asobi). The publishers initially announced on their Twitter page last May of 2021, that they’re “adjusting to deliver this game to the world” (see Twitter post below). However, they never dropped any follow-ups regarding its localization until today.

SYNOPSIS

The protagonist, Kisa Tachibana, an aspiring girl who dreams to perform in theater, like her older brother did, receives an invitation to attend Univeil Academy, an elite drama school for male actors, where talented students from the arts play female roles, referred to as “Jeanne”, in addition to male roles referred to as “Jack”. However, in order to get to this school, she must conceal the fact that she’s a girl and at the same time, land a starring role in the school’s final play (the “Univeil Play”) at the end of the year. Will Kisa be able to live up to her brother’s prestigious image at Uneveil Academy?

  2. What??? I just woke up to this….. Wonderful news!!! I know you have been playing this game since it usually comes up on your blog’s NOW PLAYING section so I’m very excited about this announcement! Since the developers are the same makers for Utapri, do you think they will consider bringing Utano Prince sama switch games to to the west? I hope that will be the case!

    1. ooo I really hope so! Maybe if the game does well over here they will consider it? I heard one of the main reasons was the music licensing I think? Even so, I hope that UtaPri still comes to the west ;;

  5. OMG yes!!! I’m so happy it’s finally getting localized, I’ve been wanting to play this for the longest time!! Mainly cuz I used to be obsessed with Tokyo Ghoul and I love the art for it, so I can’t wait to see Sui Ishida’s art style in an otome ❤
