Voltage and Toei Animation have announced a brand-new otome game: Kakan Ruirui -The Caged Lantern of Yomi- for the Nintendo Switch platform, scheduled for release in 2027. This game is the latest title under Voltage’s AmuLit brand and is being developed in collaboration with Toei Animation. This title will support simultaneous Japanese and English releases (text), with Japanese voice acting.
The project brings together several notable creators, including Kazuki Yone (Hakuoki, Homura the Crimson Warriors), who is in-charge for the game’s illustrations and character designs, and Ririka Yoshimura (Cupid Parasite, Neon Clash) as the scenario writer and co-director.
