My favourite route in the game!
But it did leave me with a few questions: why did Jupiter wear a mask hiding his blue eye? Why did his blue eye turn gold at one point? And why did he appear as Peter and not Jupiter in the epilogue’s CG?
Not very important questions, mind you, but I’m still curious. Do you know if there will be a sequel to this game? I wish there was more. It was a bit disappointing that there wasn’t any bonus content (short stories) like there are in many other otome games. Still an amazing game, of course, but that’s why I want more!!

I think his mask was just a character design choice by the artist (?) I’m not entirely sure when his eye color changed since I didn’t notice this in the game (I’ll have to replay it now lol), and I think in the epilogue, why he appeared as Peter was a director’s choice to match the “modern” Celestia they created together with Lynette. It also makes sense since the last CG we have both him and Lynette wearing modern clothes. So yeah, it’s not plot-related or anything of the sort, but rather, just a choice from the developers of the game themselves. ^^

I believe at one point it said his mask was a disguise?? (I may be misremembering…) And when a divine soldier came over, he put his mask on as if he shouldn’t be seen without it. So I thought maybe he had to hide his blue eye (and he hides it with his hair as Peter), so I felt like there was more to it than a design choice but since it wasn’t explained, then it being a design choice by the artist is the only plausible explanation I guess!
His eye colour changed when he took Lynette to heaven and explained about her past. The CG even shows both his eyes as gold. It had been mentioned elsewhere that their eyes glow when they are using their powers, but during this scene I don’t understand what powers he would be using (I also don’t know if their eyes glowing necessarily means it would change colour as well), so I just found it strange and wondered what the reasoning behind the colour change was. I wonder if the update will explain this at all. I’ve played his route twice but I’ll be sure to play it again when the update comes out to see if things are clarified a bit more.
Your explanation makes sense for the last CG. I definitely prefer his Jupiter look though, so I wish he had stuck with that. Oh well.

Ohh yeah you make a good point regarding his mask. It’s definitely looking like some sort of disguise!
I scrolled through the CGs and you were right there’s one where both his eyes were yellow and iirc they did mentioned something about it changing colors when using their powers or when they feel *excited* or emotional (?) hhh I’m also waiting for the patch so I can replay this game again! Though I was still immersed by it on my first playhthrough, some small details def flew over my head! XD

So I’ve replayed Jupiter’s route after the patch and while major issues were fixed (lines going out of boxes, the part where it always crashed for me when Cupid shoots all the parasites), there were still a number of typos and some missing punctuation, which was too bad. But oh well. (I haven’t reread Ryuki’s route yet and probably won’t anytime soon since he wasn’t a favourite of mine, but hopefully they fixed his up a lot more since there was one part where Cupid is speaking with Mars and I had no clue what they were talking about.)
As for Jupiter’s mask, I think I figured it out. I think it is supposed to be symbolic of the “mask” he wears in front of everyone. His “mask” being that he is a fearless, strict, powerful leader of all gods. He doesn’t wear the mask around Cupid, except when he tried to hide his identity once they got to Celestia (which she snatched off his face since she had already figured him out lol). But he puts it on around everyone else. Hence why I think the mask is also a literal metaphor. His mask is his “mask” to hide his true sensitive self.
The eyes thing seems mostly meaningless. Why does he hide his blue eye? I don’t see a reason. His eyes being gold in that one cg? It mentioned beforehand his left eye changing to gold but no reason as to why (as Peter, when he flew Cupid to Celestia, his eyes glimmered gold, which is apparently like gods do when they use their powers). I’m not sure what power he would be using when he was crying while confessing to Cupid about her sad past, so I can’t think of why his eye changed colour there. It’s a mystery to me, but oh well.
Anyway, despite there still being errors in Jupiter’s route, I enjoyed the reread. And I definitely enjoyed seeing him in his god form again. He’s so beautiful like that, wish he had more cgs in that form. And I really wish there were side stories so I could enjoy him even more. Instead, I guess I’ll just have to daydream or reread him again in the future.
One last thing: Jupiter being Chii was a surprise to me on my first playthrough of Jupiter. Maybe I’m just dumb but I just didn’t think too much into it during the other 5 routes. I also wanted the secret route to be a surprise (but that didn’t work out, it was too obvious it was Peter lol, though I wasn’t 100% sure Peter was Jupiter but I was like 95% sure haha). So Chii being Jupiter was a nice little surprise that made my first read of him a little more fun. 🙂

Omfg that route was soooo good. Hot god with golden eyes (and a blue one too I guess, most of the time xD) and Nobuhiko Okamoto for a voice actor? Heck yeah, sign me up. Sorry Ryuki, the god of all gods just accidentally kicked you off your “favorite route” throne (and probably panicked about it after) xD
His personality was such a surprise for me, but I couldn’t get enough of him nonetheless xD He’s so awkward, I love it! I did notice the line “I quickly disguised myself” or something like that when Allan’s around at some point and Jupiter puts on his mask. However, I can’t figure out why he’d need to disguise himself. Maybe because he has the same face as Zeus and he’s ashamed of that? Doesn’t explain why he hides his blue eye as Peter though.
As a side note, although the game made it very clear to me that Chii AND Peter were Jupiter (gotta love the name choice though, great thinking there, god of all gods) from the first route I’ve played (Shelby’s, in which Peter knows his way around the office too easily since he’s been there as Chii, plus his inability to use a camera correctly xD), the not-reveals were still super enjoyable because the game doesn’t take itself seriously.
(Also, can I just point out how absolutely frickin’ MAJESTIC he looks as Jupiter? Omfg. I wish he had kept his long hair for the last CG xD)
